Background
Built in the 1980s, MSU’s Dudy Noble Field was in need of modern renovations. The project consisted of the main entrance sign panel that patrons could walk under to access the field, along with white limestone mimicked panels at the entrance and ticket booth. The left field and right field stair tower exteriors were made of architectural precast concrete wall panels with thin-set brick as well.
Jackson Precast provided 99 panels covering almost 8,000 SF with architectural precast concrete using an acid-etched finish to mimic white limestone. Thin-set brick, provided by Columbus Brick of Mississippi, was incorporated into the wall panels.
The renovation opened up before the first game this Spring of 2019.
MSU has construction cameras that allowed viewers to watch the construction in process. Below are a few videos that show the construction and highlight the precast elements Jackson precast contributed.
