JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Concrete Production Team Member

  • The setup, stripping, and pouring of concrete for the construction of parking garages, schools, hospitals, office or retail buildings, and transportation components are handled by concrete laborers who are a part of the fabrication team. The main responsibilities involve laying and finishing concrete materials as well as cleaning and preparing casting beds and forms. A part of a day's work might involve carefully going over prints, setting up forms with a tape measure, gathering components for form layout, and pouring steel and concrete into forms.

Requirements: A diploma from high school or its broad equivalent (GED). basic measurement and math abilities, as well as familiarity with a range of hand, power, and measurement instruments. Strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity for teamwork are essential. Experience with concrete or building is advantageous but not necessary. Having experience interpreting blueprints is a benefit. Must possess a strong work ethic, a drive to produce high-quality work, and a keen awareness of safety.

Carpenter

  • Carpenters carry out the production labor duties required to aid in the creation of high-quality concrete goods, including but not limited to wall panels, highway traffic barriers, columns, and sound walls. In order to produce precast concrete pieces inside a facility, duties include building forms from blueprints, managing all aspects of the layout, cutting raw materials, putting the forms together, nailing, measuring, and confirming dimensional layouts, and supporting precast piece detail changes to ensure the team sticks to the daily production schedule.

Requirements: Prior carpentry, cabinet-making, construction, or framing experience; proficiency with operating machinery safely; familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints; proficiency with basic math and the ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch; demonstrated proficiency with using handheld power tools and carpentry to build structures; dedication to working in a team-focused environment; and a strong work ethic with a passion for producing high-quality work with the highest level of safety.

Truck Driver

  • Deliver precast concrete goods in a timely and safe manner based on a timetable to numerous clients in the area. a 40-hour work week is available.

Requirements: Must possess a Class A-CDL and have at least two (2) years of experience driving flatbed trailers. must satisfy DOT specifications. stable timetables and local hauls There will be some overnight stays necessary. Must be able to collaborate effectively and support the company's safety-first culture. Must have a steady work history, direct experience tying down loads, the willingness and aptitude to solve problems, and the drive to continually grow.

Finisher

  • Finishers apply specific finishes, correct engineering mistakes and defective goods, and fix precast concrete components. Daily duties include off-bed (dry) finishing work, reading engineering drawings, repairing damaged members requiring form work, performing major repairs to structural members due to design and engineering errors, performing patch work to architectural members having exposed aggregate or special form finishes, repairing concrete products with plates missing or installed in the wrong place, and performing steel trowel, rake top, broom, and light broiler work.

Requirements: Preferably have a high school diploma or general equivalent (GED); alternatively, have completed one to three months of comparable training or experience. Ability to operate independently or as part of a team, communicate clearly and effectively, and pay attention to and be accurate. Must have a good work ethic, be extremely reliable, be able to utilize common construction tools, and be flexible with regard to work schedules, duties, or procedures.

Drafter/CAD Tech/BIM Modeler

  • Precast wall panel elevations, a design set for the engineer, a customer approval set, and a final set for usage in the field are all produced by drafters alongside production drawings and steel drawings for plant and vendor use. Layouts, charts, detailed scale drawings, and material and equipment requirements are prepared from sketches, specifications, and standard layouts provided by customers, consultants, and/or departmental contacts. Electronic files received from consultants are reviewed and modified; modifying computer-aided designs and plans to adhere to changes made to specifications during actual construction; giving technical direction and guidance to the drafting staff on the interpretation and application of requirements and specifications, as well as the acquisition and use of CAD files; spotting errors or inconsistencies in the plans, data, and specifications; consulting with engineers as necessary to address issues; and acquiring CAD and Revit files.

Requirements: Associate's degree with coursework in computer-aided design in design, architecture, or a related field (CAD). A minimum of two years of drafting expertise Revit, BeamWiz, TeeWiz, and AutoCAD knowledge are plusses. To properly produce detailed computerized (CAD) working plans from data, one must be able to read blueprints and drawings.

Estimator

  • By carrying out a number of crucial tasks, estimators study contract documents, plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to establish costs related to the precast concrete scope. To identify the precast scope of work, an estimator examines the contract documents. Parking garages, warehouses, offices, schools, jails, and other buildings needing cutting-edge concrete products are typical project types. They also carry out precise takeoffs of precast components, use Excel spreadsheets to calculate the costs of the project's plant, freight, and field operations, prepare estimates for management, sales, planning, engineering, and field operations to use in scheduling work and creating bids, consult with clients, vendors, or other people to discuss and formulate estimates, and resolve issues as requested by sales personnel; do specialized research to create standard hours and corresponding costs, determine when to reduce costs, and define cost reduction dates; interact with others to gain support for and commitment to cost estimates; from 2D contract drawings, visualize or construct a 3D precast idea; grasp engineering principles relating to fundamental structural ideas, connections, component constraints, and constructability; and maintain regular communication with coworkers in various departments of the business, senior management, clients, and suppliers or vendors.

Requirements: Associate's degree or a comparable mix of education and training. a minimum of one to three years of relevant experience

Project Manager/Design Engineer

  • From the point of sale to project closeout, a project manager oversees precast/prestressed concrete construction projects to ensure that client needs and performance goals are satisfied. All of the concrete members of the construction must be engineered, drawn, manufactured, delivered, and installed. One's responsibilities include keeping in touch with and soliciting input from all necessary parties frequently enough to ensure that project plans are being met. Another responsibility is to make sure that all necessary paperwork is in order so that timely billing can start and continue. A third responsibility is to assist in the collection of unpaid invoices as needed. Additionally, they are in charge of making sure that all pertinent terms, conditions, and scope details are in line with a proposal's objectives and have been effectively communicated throughout the division. They are in charge of understanding the requirements of customers as they are accommodated by a proposal, creating project schedules to meet those requirements with the input of the appropriate functional areas of the operation, ensuring that all contract terms are adhered to in the execution of the work, monitoring the project for changes for which change orders will be negotiated and executed in a timely manner per the terms of the contract, and facilitating meetings; for organizing project post-mortem meetings to review the project with the appropriate functional areas in order to identify non-conformances, root causes, and appropriate corrective actions. for making sure all close-out paperwork has been submitted and that project files are properly archived once final payment is made.

Requirements: Engineering, building, or business degree from a four-year institution, or equivalent work experience three to five years, or longer, with exposure to operations and/or engineering.
