Background
PCI certified precast producer JJ Ferguson recently completed a bridge replacement project involving two bridges on King Bee Road in Stone County, MS. The county determined the deficient bridges were next in line to be replaced and chose a precast solution that best suited the timeline and long term needs for the surrounding community. The bridges experience a daily average of 1,200 vehicles. Due to growth, this average is expected to increase over the next 5 years. The county wanted a durable solution that would stand the test of time, as well as the projected increase in use. For each bridge replaced, precast slabs along with precast caps, wings and rails were manufactured.
