Background
The Louis Armstrong International Airport broke ground on their new terminal in 2016 which included two new parking garages. Tindall Corporation was selected to provide precast for both structures which included precast beams, columns, double tees, wall panels, and stairs.
The first structure was completed in 2018, two months ahead of schedule. The structure featured an elevated pedestrian walkway and automobile entrance on the 3rd floor.
The second structure was started in February of 2019 with an accelerated schedule of completion in 16 weeks. Tindall will be installing 2,200 precast pieces with two cranes that can install about 70 pieces per week to meet the aggressive schedule.
